I understand thru my own spiritual experiences that these childish scary storys are now become un-necessary ! An old, very old control issue. those symbols were created at that time to explain and deal with unknown phenomenon, I believe, rather think,mankind now far more advanced,no longer spiritual kindegardners! I call bulls***!on the whole thing! There is but one Spirit in the universe and that ONE is LOVE! People the world over every since we began to think, have been killing themselves and each other for there love that we as a species hunger and thirst for, given to us by CREATOR in order to survive and thrive only to become perverted by the ignorance and denial! For such a simple text it explains both inner and outer reality fairly well. I still explore other philosophies as well, though. Right now venturing into Buddhist texts.
