Theta Brainwave Entrainment – Bach’s Preludio to Partita No.3 – MP3 Download

There’s a point just before sleep – where one enters the twilight world; that in-between state of semi-dreamfulness. Some people call this a hypnogogic state, and although it is similar, my experience of this ‘twilight world’ shows it has a somewhat different texture. Visions fleet across the eyes; faces, vistas, all manner of things. Sometimes these images bring with them certain thoughts or ideas, other times they evoke specific feelings. It really is about tapping into some ‘other world’, whether it be accessing our sub-conscious, or perceiving a ’spiritual realm’.

Perhaps this is but scratching the surface of what those most ancient of traditions understand; the shaman and the monk. Modern technology has brought us closer to comprehending just what occurs during those altered states of deep meditation and trance. Monitoring the brainwave frequencies of those trained and experienced in such states, it is noticed that they enter a very deep theta state. Specifically 4.5hz – just about as deep as you can get before you enter a delta frequency. It seems 4.5hz is very close to that ‘twilight world’ state.

This is where Bach comes in – I have mentioned before here how his music – certain pieces in specific, are capable to inducing a theta state in the listener. The theta state is often associated with moments of inspiration and creativity, which explains why people often find inspiration in Bach’s music.

So with that in mind I have got together with Brainwave-Sync again. They have a brainwave entrainment track on their ‘Creativity and Inspiration’ CD featuring Bach’s Preludio to Partita No.3 played on acoustic guitar. What we have done is re-encode this track to have a 4.5hz frequency – therefore you with find this a very effective brainwave entrainment mp3 for inducing these deep shamanic like ‘twilight world’ states.

Although this track is very short, it can be played on a loop – which is fine as the music is very nice. After about 6 minutes (playing it through twice) you should start noticing some effects. The best place to listen to this particular track is in bed, just as you are going to sleep.

In addition to the streaming audio, I have added a download link so you can use it on your iPod or whatever…

Enjoy…

—————

Over the last few years my interest in altered states of consciousness has continued to grow. My interest was initially sparked by the use of binaural beats and later brainwave entrainment (this is why I have added a number of binaural beats downloads to this site), both of which are very powerful aids for altering ones consciousness. In particular I have found brainwave entrainment audio which also uses binaural beats encoding to be very effective. The great thing about brainwave entrainment is its ability to synchronize the brain to a desired frequency.

My early interests in brainwave entrainment was always in the theta frequency, mainly because this is the frequency the brain enters during dreaming, and this entrainment frequency has also been known to induce visions. Recently I have come across a few studies on psychoactives and the associated brainwave patterns they induce. Now I had always been under the assumption that psychedelics – due to their hallucinatory nature – would induce theta frequency brainwaves. It turns out for certain psychedelics that is totally untrue. Instead they appear to boost beta and alpha frequency brainwaves.

I find this especially interesting, because beta brainwaves are those of the alert and awake mind. That psychedelics would heighten what is essentially normal brainwave activity and allow one to see ‘other worlds’ is very suggestive. Especially when we consider that in a normal state the brain filters out a large portion of what is actually occurring around us…meaning that with normal perception there are many things we are simply unable to see.

At any rate, I have included a new brainwave entrainment audio file here. This one is encoded in the Beta frequency and is ideal for creating energy and motivation in those moments when you are feeling particularly lethargic or un-motivated. Let me know what you think…

My ability to recall dreams comes and goes – the last few nights however my dreams have been pretty intense! Mostly this has been dealing with resurfacing memories, which is kinda neat because it is helping me face aspects of my personality which up until now have always existed in Shadow. Seeing these parts of our Shadows allows us to integrate them into our being – they become a part of us, rather than sub-consciously control us.

A big part of what has helped me get to this stage has been the use of brainwave entrainment. I have been using these audio files before I sleep; in particular brainwave entrainments which are designed to induce deep meditation and lucid dreaming. These sounds which are encoded with a specific frequency cause the brain to synchronize with them – and thus allows us to have some amazing experiences.

It hasn’t just been my dream recall that brainwave entrainment has helped with – they have also enhanced my ability to consciously experience the hypnagogic state. Just as I fall to sleep I experience moments of intense visions, the contents of which vary from symbolism to scenes and people.

Using brainwave entrainment is one of the best methods I have found of increasing awareness of my consciousness. It has allowed me to experience areas of my mind which I otherwise would not have accessed. And for that I am extremely grateful.

The guys at Brainwave-Sync provide some quality downloadable brainwave entrainment mp3 files – what is neat about their service is that you can browse their products, listen to samples and then gain instant access – via download to any purchase you make. Another neat thing about Brainwave-Sync is that they regularly read this site and have agreed to provide a 33% discount to all my readers!

To get the discount you simply need to enter the word thethoughts into the ‘discount coupon’ section of the checkout process.

Brainwave entrainment is something I have been using for around 8 years now. I started with a simple metronome encoded at the theta frequency…it worked very well for what it was; mere beeps. But once I discovered that brainwave entrainment could be encoded into music, well it was one of the things which changed the direction of my life and eventually aided me massively in my spiritual development.

I may talk about brainwave entrainment a lot on this site, but its ability to induce altered states of consciousness really shouldn’t be underestimated. Yes, brainwave entrainment requires some work on your behalf – you do need to guide your awareness towards that altered state, it does however make altered states far more accessible than through meditation alone.

The effects are potentially along the same lines as using a psychoactive substance, although obviously there are two very clear distinctions. One, turning the audio off ends the experience. Two, you don’t have to put anything in your body you may not want to. In short you have much more control.

I have added a new audio into the Brainwave Entrainment Center, and this one is somewhat experimental. It has been created with the aim of inducing an Out of Body Experience…so only try it if you are sure that’s what you want (you have been warned!) Personally I have never had an OBE from using brainwave entrainment, but I certainly believe it is possible based on the experiences I have had with the technology.

The audio file is called “OBE Sonnet” – and as usual can be found both in this post and in the Online Entrainment section. I would be interested to hear of any results you guys have from these files!

You can access the file from this post – and it is also available in the Brainwave Entrainment Center, where you will find other entrainment audio and binaural beats.

Binaural beats and brainwave entrainment continue to be an ongoing aspect of self and spiritual exploration for me. And they are a very good aid to meditation. In fact you may like to try this particular audio as a precursor to meditating, as it will almost certainly help relax and calm your mind.

I often wonder where the souls and spirits which inhabit clones actually come from. It’s pretty easy to consider that they maybe ‘soulless’, but something tells me that isn’t the case. All living matter contains a spiritual element, and there is no reason it should be any different for clones.

Could a clone’s soul be a copy from the original, either a perfect duplicate or an imperfect one? If we were to consider the soul energy as coming from the universal consciousness, then what effect does a cloned body have upon that soul energy? Perhaps the new bodies also contain a ‘new’ soul energy; a manmade soul rather than a divine soul.

Whatever and wherever the clones spirit and soul arrives from there are further questions to consider; what occurs after the clone’s death? Does the soul return to the universal collective consciousness? What would it be like to be a reincarnated human, who was previously a clone?

The questions are endless, and the energies which are being played with aren’t even understood in the merest of ways by a conventional science. A science which is still grasping to explain consciousness.

On some level I even wonder if the affect on consciousness is a part of these experiments. Some people who have had their pets cloned remark upon how the new copy has the same personality as the original. What does that say about consciousness? What does it say about the spirit or the soul for that matter?

I suspect there will never be any worthwhile (public) answers to these questions, because it is not of sufficient interest. Yet surely it must play a massive part in the overall equations. Will this ultimately unite science with the spiritual – or forever divide the two? I can see both possibilities as being equally possible, with very little in the way of middle ground.

Some people aren’t particularly big fans of the violin – but I think it is a fantastic instrument. Bach wrote some amazing music for this instrument, in particular I have a real thing for Bach’s Prelude from Partita.

You maybe wondering why I mention this here. Well the effect of Bach’s music can be very similar to brainwave entrainment audio, and Partita I have found can help to induce a theta trance, and in someways is more effective than a theta binaural beat.

It does certainly come down to personal taste – but in either event try a brief meditation to this and see if it has any effect…

I really have experienced a lot of personal growth through using brainwave entrainment technology. Over the years I have used many different forms of the audio, my personal favorites are theta audio and metamusic – as these have induced the most amazing experiences, such as the White Light and Singing I wrote about recently. One of the first things I put on this website was a downloadable theta metronome, with an accompanying write up. That continues to be a very popular post and constantly downloaded file. It can be found in the Brainwave Entrainment Collection.

So I decided it was time to take the entrainment aspect of this site in a new direction – and came up with the Online Brainwave Entrainment Center. Here you can listen to all forms of entrainment and binaural beat audio through a built-in streaming media player – meaning you don’t have to even download the audio. All of the streaming audio has been custom made for this site, and really has the potential to provide for some wonderful experiences as well as to enhance meditative practice and personal growth.

Head on over to entrainment center and let me know what you think!
