Depthless newborn baby eyes

One of the first things that struck me the moment my daughter was born, was the vast depthlessness of her deep blue newborn eyes. It was clear to see that she had a tale to tell - a longest journey; trials and experiences that we perhaps would struggle to understand.

Looking into her eyes it was possible to be drawn into a world of a very different reality. Timeless, silent and beautiful. An experience that only the deepest of meditations I have experienced can come even fractionally close to matching. I knew then as an utter matter of truth that there exists realms that are far more than this life. We bury our spirituality as we grow. It becomes hidden and even lost under our rough exterior. We forget our true selves.

I have rarely seen anything written about the before-life, in fact one of the few places I have seen such a thing mentioned is in a book written by the author of the Montalk.net site. Proof of everything we wonder about; the soul, the spirit can all be found within those newborn eyes. They hold an experience that has to be gained in more than just the moments of birth and development. It is something that transcends common worldly perspectives - and yet it is there for all of us to see:

Beauty
Spirit
Soul
Love
Transcendence

Those babies know the touch of God, of the hidden forces behind our reality. Such is the knowledge that we all bury somewhere inside of ourselves. It is there for us all at the very beginning; to know the meaning of life.

I have tears in my eyes as I am holding my 5-day-old born-at-home infant. Your words are exactly what I have been feeling.
