Fake News: Monkey Metaphysics - Part 2

Fake news stories are among the methods of Monkey Metaphysics. This is an ongoing daily process - each time something different is wrapped up in the guise of news and paraded before the public in the media and during nightly newscasts. Some people find it mightily surprising that the media is manipulated…and I guess it is true that for the most part the media has a perceived face of respectability and trustworthiness. Whilst it is expected that the news would have a bias on certain stories - or place a spin on them - they of course wouldn’t outright attempt to trick or manipulate…
…would they?
Here is a video released by the computer security firm Trend Micro. It is a PR release, in the form of a mini-documentary - these are known as “Video News Releases” and are created by corporations and governments all over the world:
Note how the Trend Micro product is indirectly advertised?
Now the following video is taken from Fox News. See if you can spot anything familiar.
It is said that as much as 30% of any news broadcast can contain these sorts of advertisements. I have seen among them, adverts for patented medicine, health clinics, brand name products and many other things. The thing is, these tactics aren’t just limited to the corporate world. Many governments (including the US and UK governments) use similar PR videos to attempt to convey political messages to the public…all wrapped up nice and neatly as a news item.
Once you know how these things work, they stand out a mile on any news broadcast - as the stories are simply not stories or news. And this is nearly always the case with Monkey Metaphysics; it is very simplistic and thus hides in full view - fully aware that most people won’t realise its - all be it simpleton - slyness.
