Moments of Breakthrough

Moments of Awareness Breakthrough.Moments of breakthrough can be very difficult. I wrote last year about Spheres of Awareness; and how each time you move from one sphere into a new wider one it is akin to climbing up a ladder of mental, emotional and spiritual growth. Those times can be very hard, because the old emotional and mental imprints do not want to let go. They hold onto you, pulling you backwards – trying to keep you in place. Sometimes it feels as though those imprints would rip you apart with their resistance and attempts at domination.

The past few weeks have been a fairly rough ride in regards to my ego. The more self-aware you become the greater sensitivity you gain into what is occurring within you. Depending on your nature, this can at times cause a degree of inner-conflict. This happens because whilst your awareness gets to a place where it can ‘move on’ with greater insight into the world, the ego may well resist.

The conditioning of our ego goes very deep. For many people the grip of the ego gets stronger as they get older. Hence you find some people in the later stages of their lives fall into an increasingly narrow view of the world. Sometimes this even makes them appear very bitter.

Awareness development occurs in all sorts of ways, some people make it their quest in life – whilst other people turn their backs on it – only to find life hits them on the head with a big stick. But in all cases, the lessons we learn in life come at a price which requires us to integrate them into our thinking and actions. If however your ego dominates you, it will often refuse to acknowledge these lessons, regardless of the form they come in. The lesson or knowledge then becomes either wilfully ignored or attacked out right.

The ego is a funny beast, because it actually wants to be in situations which it finds difficult or problematic, as these are the things from which it gains its self-identification. Being poor, feeling worthless, or trapped, superior, intelligent and even feeling victimised are all things with which our ego can identify. We trick ourselves onto such a path because we allow our ego to dominate us.

Yet as our awareness and understanding of our self grows, the nature of our personal egos becomes increasingly apparent. And as we integrate these new understanding, so our ego retreats into the background. That then posses another problem; the ego is sneaky, if it cannot dominate then it will attempt to work from the background.

This then is where much of the resistance comes from as you pass into a new sphere. The ago scrambles about madly doing anything to ensure its survival (remember, it needs to identify with the things you maybe outgrowing), it’s last ditch efforts at sabotage can be pretty strong – but inevitably if you stay true to your Self, the ego will fail. That then marks another passage into the ongoing journey.

That was a beautiful article, but when we consider that all Mind is One since all things are connected by living intelligent (conscious) energy, we see that the ego is as much a part of pure consciousness as any other state of consciousness. The point is to control our frequencies and psychic energy so that our ego expresses love only, not jealous, or pride etc.

Spirit created our ego to express our individuality to the world. It is the unique expression of God’s consciousness within our whole mind, conscious, subconscious, including the ego which we use to become more powerful and useful beings on earth.

The ego certainly has its place within our consciousness, and without it we would never have become individuals - just as you point out. I wrote a short piece about evolutionary consciousness recently – which I have posted today.

The ego tends to try an dominate our being, which is what causes us a lot of problems. But is that because it can fall to ‘negative’ frequencies – or is it simply the ego’s nature to dominate?
