Photosynth - Tech Demo

If you want to test out the Photosynth software I mentioned in my previous post, it’s fairly simple.
Go to Microsoft Labs, Photosynth Website, once there click on the “Try the Tech Preview” button.
This will take you to a screen which allows you to download the plugin software, it is only around 6mb so nothing major to download. Save the Photosynth.exe file, and then run it once it has downloaded. Follow the instructions on the installation screen.
Now I might be a bit slow sometimes, but I was expecting a program to be installed. But nope, the installation is actually a plugin that works through your web-browser. Once it is all installed go back to the Photosynth Website, and click on the “Tech Preview” button again. This time it will load up the Photosynth demo, which is fully interactive. There are a number of locations you can explore including Grassie Lakes, and Piazza San Pietro in Rome.
