Synchronicities are surely an accompanying phenomena for this kind of understanding or realization. The problem I see here is that recognizing these requires some previous knowledge, some sort of education in this direction. This is what we lack to be able to be more aware and consciously aware of those. Angela is right, we are facing more of them than we realize. We just don't know how to interpret them. I do think we are more aware of our spiritual natures than we realize, but because it sometimes does seep into our wakeful life we don't differentiate between the two very well, nor do we have the language to describe it.
